As someone who still hasn't made the change to a modern charger or batteries, I think it's due this spring/summer. It just hasn't been warranted since I'm mainly a collector now. The last time I've driven a hobby grade R/C was back whenever the Tamiya Mighty Bull came out. What was that like in 2005?!

Man you guys don't know what you are missing. Kick the dust off of some of those cars you guys have (I know you guys have at least a few that can be run) and go have some fun, even if it is running the car in the street by your house for five minutes. Make sure you run a lipo as well. You won't believe how that lipo battery will really wake you car up.

The great thing is you don't have to go out and buy the $100 battery pack. There are $16 4000mah lipo packs out there that will make you change your mind quickly on any of those old packs.

For those of you who are looking do make a change and get some batteries and a charger, I can provide some links to some products that have gotten good reviews that won't break the bank, and will fit virtually any car that used stick packs back in the day.

Anyone know how to use one of these? Lol
Lots of bells and whistles but sure don't feel as good as an old magnum

I think that's the first time I've ever said "magnum" and "feels good" in the same sentence lol
