Well Nasty is what I got. At least it had minimal runtime. If I had to guess, maybe 1 fuel tank's worth is all. The body, decals, and all the cool chrome goodies are still new and sitting in the kit box. Just needed a good cleaning to get it back to a respectable condition.
I wish I had some "before" pics. It really was an interesting build.... It had the original exhaust header mounted backwards on the engine. This sent the exhaust out over the middle of the chassis. Then there was a 10" long pipe hooked to it going forward. Two 90 degree silicone couplers later and then a really long marine straight pipe headed out the back of the truck. All mounted properly too. Had a home brew radio box mounted where the receiver would have sat. It had a Xmas light hooked up and poking out the side. Let you know when the switch was turned on.
Anyway, makes you wonder why he didn't run it more. Well, I saw interesting things going on in the front and rear gearboxes. The top of the gearboxes have clear lexan covers with some weird colors underneath. If you spin any part of the drivetrain, it was bound up. I figured it was lots of castor oil dried up all over the place till I get the gearboxes off of the truck. YUCK. Filled with white lithium grease. So much so that the stuff was puking out through the bearings in the sides. This guy even RTV'd the boxes to the chassis and siliconed the lexan covers in. When I got all the screws out of the gearboxes, I had to use a good bit of force to remove them off the chassis. Made a suction noise in the process. I'll let the pics speak for themselves.
It took me almost an hour to clean out each gearbox. Once I got rid of all the grease and blasted the bearings, it spins really free. Go figure. I'm surprised he didn't smoke the clutch, but it looked like it was barely used.

The new shocks look nice as well. Looking forward to seeing the whole truck.
