I scored a NIB 480T off the bay for $31
I have been looking to get one for some time, but the price just wasn't right.

Re: Le Mans motor collection.
Thanks Proffesso, I've seen the X speed motors but not the Rev 300s.
I've resisted buying the smaller Le Mans motors, but have picked up two of the AP36 range which are 540/550 motors.
The Kyosho motors certainly do look good.

Le Mans motor collection.
So I scored a used LeMans 240S (red can) and NIB LeMans 240SB on the Bay for $36
Funny thing is I asked the seller if he had a buy it now price and he said $65. I agreed to it but he never responded.
So come auctioned there was 1 bid for $29. I placed my max bid at $50 and won

Thanks. You're right about the planets.. I seldom get a good deal.. Usually I lose out. It was time!
Theres a bunch of vintage Futaba servo parts and airplane gear reduction parts in the lot. Ill just throw those back on eBay for a $1 and see what happens.

Nice Collection! I thought I has a 360 E but it turned out to be a 360 PT.
I have a bunch of those, I'll keep looking!

Re: Le Mans motor collection.
When did the Lemans motors first appear and which was the very first?

Looks like they first appeared in 1984. Going by the motors part numbers it looks like the 480S was the first.SMOKE-DOG wrote:When did the Lemans motors first appear and which was the very first?

Re: Le Mans motor collection.
This is most of my collection so far, the super pros are different one is speed and one is torque version
The rest is another LeMans motor somewhere between the Super Pro and others in age, its new but not in box black can
Also have another pair of spa motors, 480 gold, 240 ST and one mega motor all new but not in box except for the mega motor which is boxed), they are going into shelfers
Need to figure out what I am missing to complete the collection

Re: Le Mans motor collection.
That's a really nice collection. I was wondering if you would be interested in an addition to your collection. I happened to notice that you are missing A 360ST model, and it turns out i have a near mint condition one. I know they aren't the most favored motor because its the 540 can, but if your interested just pm me. I also have a vintage kyosho mechanical speed controller if interested too.

Re: Le Mans motor collection.
This might help you out. At a glance, looks like you need the 600E, 360PT & 360ST, Sports H-240S and Pro High Torque.HKS_TRD wrote:Need to figure out what I am missing to complete the collection
EDIT: In response to Blue_Basher's post, the 360ST is probably less favorable because I believe it's the only one with a sealed can. You can't adjust timing, and you can't really rebuild it--unless you bend the tabs out to remove the end-bell.
