Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I bought this little guy. It's an old 1/24 ABC Hobby Tumbler, which I guess was a part of a Pocket Racer series. I don't know anything about it other than the obvious. Searches turn up zero relevant results.
The body looks like crap, but i think I can save it. It's had a poor attempt at a strip, but I think I can clean it up ok and repaint it.
Tires are really dry. Finding replacements in a similar size could be a PITA I was thinking maybe slot car tires. If I can find a similar size in like a drag tire, I could true them up to the correct shape, and cut the grooves into them. I do kind of miss that stinky slot car fish tire smell...

Not exactly RC car parts, but will be used to modify and make them, along with 1:1 car parts

Well, nothing yet, but I have in mind some mounts for my front sway bar and rear camber bar. Other than that, little brackets for here and there, some plates for door pulls I want to use, etc etcalien3t wrote:mk-Zero wrote:Not exactly RC car parts, but will be used to modify and make them, along with 1:1 car parts

First project will be milling my a-stamp chassis, and maybe the kickup and motor plate.
Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Got a few sets of Losi springs. I think fair for $20 bucks.
and AIP47-008 a set of wheels for the 93, a mr lexan protech IV for the 870/yz10 and a yz10 body for my works 93 as he says a runner body. but still good enough for shelf for me.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
A lot of Tamiya Ta-03 chassis and some bodies:
The chassis are well used. The TA-03R chassis is rather incomplete, but comes with the TA-03R foam bumper, an alloy pulley, and some other usable bits. The TA-03F chassis is much better: Tamiya's alloy rear uprights, c-hubs, foam bumper (missing foam), swing bars, carbon swing bar holders, alloy pulleys, a ball diff, a one-way layshaft, and the alloy motor mount.
The bodies are actually not all for the Tamiya cars. One is a rather butchered Nissan Primera that appears to have been painted on both sides in black (or one side is really dirty), is missing its rear wing and mirrors and was used for a nitro car - a candidate for the garbage can if it doesn't clean up well. The white NSX body is I think a Kyosho body for a Pure Ten nitro car - it's pretty beaten up, but also still in one piece. I'll probably use it for my GP Spider project (that is stalled since an eternity...). The other NSX is the best body of the lot (some excess body post holes and missing the o-rings that keep mirrors and rear wing attached well) and will serve as the body for my future TA-03R project. Then there's the CLK body, missing its rear wing and with some serious damage to the front left end - if I can get it patched up it will be another decent runner body. The chassis are well used. Picked up this awesome "Green" pan full of RPM parts.
I really just wanted the chassis, not sure what I'm gonna do with the rest yet.

I know dude. I was thinking of just using the chassis for me and putting the RPM stuff on one of my gold pans as a shelferSFC K wrote:
