Re: Period corect motor question?
Here's what I think is on the kit box of the Kyosho cars. I have both boxes right here.
The Triumph appears to have a Kyosho PRECISION motor. This one has the anodized aluminum red endbell. It's a 14x2 wind. The Ultima Pro XL seems to have a Le Mans 240ST. There really isn't a clear view of the motor, but it has a plain non-adjustable endbell. There are other Le Mans motors with plain endbells but this is what they put on most of the cars of that time.
Hope this helps. Maybe others can confirm.

Re: Period corect motor question?
I do see the red endbell in the Triumph box, wasn't sure of the model.....
240ST will be easy to locate.
I think the XX Kinwald shows a Trinity D2, but I am not sure. Can anybody confirm?
Does anybody on this forum have a D2 they want to get rid of???

Re: Period corect motor question?
The revolution motor would be perfect for the LXT. Not sure on the XX but the Kyosho motors mentioned are a good call.

Re: Period corect motor question?
I thought the Revolution motors were from the 85-87 time frame, being that they're Yokom based motors (rather than Epic). Like pre-LXT
Seems more appropriate for a Yokomo RPS Pro SE or JRX-2?

Re: Period corect motor question?
Nope, definitely later than that era. Losi didn't do Revos during the SE days (Gil ran for Trinity), but more towards the release of the JRX2, so they are very period correct.

Thanks to Erich for the D3, it now resides in my XX Kinwald Ed. (the Orion went in me Tekin RC10 by the way)
