I think apart from the open design of the drive train, mr4bc is one of my favorite buggies. Mine handled great and was quite fast using cheap 10.5 turn brushless and mx4 slipper assembly. Its just that sand and pebbles will really mess it up bad and there is no provision to reduce that.

I just realized that the mr4 rally came with a sort of belt cover... Has anybody ever fitted it to a buggy, or know if it was any better than nothing?

I've been looking at those belt cover parts too, but never got around toa ctually ordering them. And with the removed parts now, it won't work anymore anyway.

Extremely important: I added those little screws on the sides of the front shocktower. I read in several places that forgetting to do so will kill the shocktower in no time and the previous owner hadn't done the work.

I was told the same thing. Fortunately my buggy came equipped with them, and so its never been an issue.
