will it be possible to buy the chassis set minus a few items? like say, if i wanted to install my own wing mounts, bumper, and maybe the rear tranny brace. and that's my last question, is that a stock rear tranny brace that anyone could still obtain? or are the dimensions a little different than the production tranny brace?

The tranny brace is the same dimensions as a factory brace. I would recommend the tranny brace that comes with the kit since it comes from the same carbon sheet as the chassis and upper deck. The CF is a matte finish and will have a slightly different appearance than what is currently on the market.

The individual chassis will be available in the next upcoming weeks. I am busy building the full chassis kits currently and once I get caught up, I will work on the individual parts.

Question came in about optional castor blocks and rear arm mounts.

The rear arm mounts provide three degrees of anitisquat and provide 1.5 degree of toe per side, giving a total of 3 degree.

We have discussed offering different castor blocks for the front but so far nothing is solid yet. We did not discuss the rear arm mounts but they certainly can be entertained. I will discuss with Niki.

How can i get the natural nylon look with the shapeways material? It looks more pure white...

How can i get the natural nylon look with the shapeways material? It looks more pure white...

I used super diluted Rit dye to achieve the nylon look on my car. I conducted research through the Rit dye website which shows custom colors to find the shade that was close to what I needed.

I ended up mixing 1/8 teaspoon of yellow dye with 2 cups of water. Heated the mixture to approximately 180 degrees and dunked each shapeways part in the mixture for three seconds. Cold water rinse immediately then compared the shade to the AE parts.

If I do it again I will do a mixture of 1/16 teaspoon of yellow and 1/16 teaspoon of tan. The key to doing this is having a super diluted mixture that allows you to dunk the parts and then check the shade. You do this in increments to keep from over doing the color. The shapeways parts do take dye very easily.

Please note we have not ran a car with dyed parts so we are not sure how or if it will affect the durability. It should not but stranger things have happened.

One question. Will the chassis and towers be a limited run or an ongoing thing?

What was the under tray used and is TBG or someone making it?

For dye, I wonder if tea would be a better option?

Could a front shock tower, front caster block, and rear hub tower with optional camber locations for cars that will be raced be offered in the future?

As of right now I will be filling orders as they come in. I do have a bench stock of parts on hand right now and will continue machining the parts as long as I can. Right now I do not have a limit but that can aways change depending on the amount of orders.

The undertray used is a Yokomo Works 91 and is currently offered by TBG. You may also be able to find them other places as well.

I will have to look further into this. The towers could be done easily by adding additional options to the CF towers I plan to make.

It was a full surprise for me to see a thin nut under right side bellcrank/servo saver in this original Stealth steering picture. My current design does not have that nut as you can see from 2014-08-13 dated exploded view drawing. When I get back home next week, I will check a corrective action for this. Sorry.
This does not affect optional "race" steering.
