Very cool. I'm digging those clear parts. I bet that would generate a few WTF's at the track.

Truly impressive! I can't wait until the full kit is marketed. Might be the first car I build as a shelf queen.

Did you guys see on facebook that Associated had both buggies in their offices today. I wonder what they are up to?

Checking inventory to make sure Niki and Jake didn't steal the real one

If they released a kit after 23-yrs it would be bittersweet. On one hand I be the first in line to buy it and on the other a little pissed considering the work I've put into creating a replica. It's certainly been an exciting couple of days!

Before I begin, I have to thank Niki for all his work in helping make this car a reality. Niki agreed to join in the quest about 10 months ago and he has worked countless hours in making the car as close as we could get to the real thing. Neither of us have ever seen a real Stealth car in person and this car was designed and built purely from pictures Niki and I had acquired through the internet.

We started with my 2 dimensional files and Niki converted them in to 3d renderings so he could assemble the car prior to us spending any money to test fit parts. We have had several bumps and bruises along the way, money wasted on parts, etc. Ultimately we ended with me being able to complete a spectacular representation of the 91 Stealth as well as something else Niki will be sharing with you guys soon.

As you guys have already learned, some parts for this car are available on Niki's Shapeways store. the remainder of the parts will be available to the public very soon. Since the suspension parts are going to be available, it is only logical that there are plans to have the remainder of the parts available to the public as well. More to follow on this in the next couple days

I machined the chassis, upper deck, shock towers, wing mounts, chassis standoffs, and modified the Yokomo TH-1 hubs. I also painted the body using the same paint masks I created at the beginning of this thread. The wheels, tires, Yokomo springs, spring clips and TH-1 hubs took the entire length of this thread to secure. In fact the springs were just recently found within the last month. The chassis pan is a Yokomo 91 Works undertray.

The turnbuckles are Lundsford Retros and all the Associated specific parts as re re parts, including the transmission. The slipper clutch is an original what was built from NIP parts.

The decals were made by Ultrahive and are absolutely amazing. Great job Louis, they realty set the tone to the finished car.

if you study the pictures carefully, you may notice a clear gear cover, and plastic shock caps. Reggie was kind enough to provide the proper parts to replace. Thank you Reggie.

That is truly the sweetest thing I have seen! After so many years of waiting for AE to make it, only to be disappointed with the Worlds and then the B2 and so on. Is this really happening? Am I dreaming? You guys are truly talented to make this without even having one of the originals in hand! 8) I still find it hard to believe!

It should work quite well with modern tires, can't wait!

For those who will be at the Vonats, you may very well get a chance to look the car over in person, hint hint. The race is tomorrow
