Re: 91 Masami Stealth replica
Those rear arms were more like measure thrice, make twice, check once....make again. Don't recall those being printed ones. Lots of trial and (very slight) error at first.gomachv wrote:Looks awesome team!
How's that go....Measure twice, print parts once?

Re: 91 Masami Stealth replica
How strong are those white parts? Strong enough for running?
I couldnt build one of those and not drive it. Be like pouring a big frosty mug of suds and not drink it. Just couldnt do it.

Re: 91 Masami Stealth replica
Oh my God I just passed out!.........
Oh my God I just passed out again!
I hope these will be within reach for everyone? I also hope they will be somewhat affordable to be able to have a runner, a queen and some spares? I too hope they can handle a bit of rough treatment on the track! Am I asking in vain?
Did someone step on AE's toes for a future rere?

Re: 91 Masami Stealth replica
I agree 8rad, I couldn't build one and never drive it.
This PA2200 SLS material Shapeways uses flex more than standard molded or extruded nylon. Still it's really strong and viscous. I have seen JQ racing with his prototype cars SLS arms attached. Even with 8-scale nitro buggy! In this project - when the look is critical - SLS arm will flex more than it probably flexed in original Stealth car. Still the car will be driveable... full attack. If more arm stiffness is wanted, wall thickness of arm geometry can be increased. All other SLS parts will be just perfect like that for a runner. Last winter I drove my B2 Graphite project car weekly hours and hours. Not a single problem with SLS front and rear chassis bulkheads. And as you all know - indoor offroad track isn't gentle for cars.

Holy freaking attention to detail Niki! You've even got the mold parting lines of the original arms!
