So what do you guys think?? You think they're just blowing it out and gonna discontinue the kit, or are gonna correct the issues and keep pumping them out??

I suspect they are done. They wouldn't close them out just to change the parts, they would make running changes like they always have.

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
well, they obviously made more of these than the classic. maybe they made a certain amount to see how they sold, then do another batch later. if that's the case though, things obviously need to be addressed before another run. like putting the old style stealth in it and getting rid of the problem child.
but i don't know.....they probably haven't sold as expected. i think releasing them at the same time as the b5's may have hurt it, not too mention, i feel the vintage r/c thing peaked 3-4 years ago and it's coming back down. that's my opinion going by this place. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that it has cooled off, around here anyway. even in the winter months.

I'm had to pull the trigger too, it's worth it just for the parts at $199
I got mine from associated, same price plus free shipping....and they have the 6565 trans cases in stock
Oh, and they have some stuff I need to the 4wd V2.0

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
The stealth trans kits are the USA cases and the worlds cars have the China cases. Sucks if they are gray! Limits the dying colors
They changed the case for the worlds car and it's a big dog turd

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
so… the worlds kits have chinese cases and the stealth kits have the usa cases? mine are definitley grey, not white by any means. i'd say its a 10/15% grey… fugly.
i just got my first worlds kit from stormer (ebayed it the same time i ebayed the stealth cases), the second one i just ordered today directly from stormer.
probably throw it together this weekend, hoping i dont have the slipper shaft issues that ive read have happened. is it just with some kits or all of them?

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
I have been dealing with a couple of the new RC10WC kits and am in touch with AE about the trannys. One of the kits was going to be on the shelf in factory sealed condition, but with the problems I found in the first kit, I had to break the seal to make sure the tranny works correctly in the other one.
So far, I've found the gears are rather tight and gritty feeling. The bulk of the trouble seems to be in the mesh between idler and top shaft gears, but the diff to idler mesh is also a bit rough. I've contacted their kit service and received new top shafts, idler gears and a new case. None of this has assembled into a smooth transmission yet though.
Today I called the rep working on my case and he accepted my offer to mail in my transmissions for inspection/assembly by AE themselves. I'll be mailing them out tomorrow, and I'll try to keep you all posted on what the end result is.
