At least this is a beginning, hopefully more will follow. I do like this RPM cover over the black one AE made for the worlds car and it can be dyed to any color you want.

It looks very close indeed. 8) Much better than their usual PVC white.
And you KNOW they have the ball cup molds still...

I hope the hell they will make those!

Ordered up one of the new gear covers. Will have to take a pic next to the OG version. 8)

Fit and finish on the new piece is quite a bit better than the original. More clearance(clearance clarence) when using the inner most ball stud hole on the rear bulkhead. New piece is a bit thinner material wise, but nice and flexible.
New cover on the left.

those shorty's weren't out very long before they became disco'd. must not have made a whole hell of a lot of them.

Hope so!

Ran a 10 with the new gear cover today, love it! The new AE is good, but the RPM one is better! I only say that because there's more room to fit RPM ballcups (go figure) than the AE cover

off their website:
This new version has smoother contours than the original, completely seals off the gear case from dirt and debris and has added clearance in several areas. Our “new” gear cover has a larger, taller area for bigger pinions than the stock gear cover and the spur area has been expanded to allow the use of the VTS slipper clutch from Associated.
