What has Tom been up to??

Post by hkp »

Hi Guys and Gals,

I've not posted up many pics recently (and all my old ones have been lost - I'm working on restoring them). Anyway, I acquired a lovely Fibre lyte Carbon Tub which I have put on my Worlds car along with Fibre lyte twill weave shock towers and tranny brace.. It doesn't show up well in the pics, but it looks fantastic in the flesh

Also some pics of my stealty black RPM W91 fronted Tubber with RPM rear bulkhead and Yokomo rear wheels. I have a nice cut down Turbo Mirage to go on it. I'm looking for wing buttons and a moulded Nylon wing if anyone has?? Oh and yes it is missing the nose tubes, these have been sourced, but i just had to show you her even though not 100% complete!

How did you acquire it, did you manage to persuade Fibre Lyte to make one for you as well as the nose plate :?: :?: :?:

No, it was a eBay steal.. The tub had been used, but always with an undertray on it. Weirdly, the tubs are not as shiny on the bottom (I know the Atomic Carbon AC10 had the same issue - same tub, just a different weave).

I blew a coat of Auto Lacquer over it and polished it up - reeeeal shiny now!

I think FL could be persueded to make a Tub for around the £100 mark, just not the noses. I guess one could go W91 at the front...

I would defo want a FL nose plate if I was spending that much on a tub.

PS why the name change?

Tom,

You da man, that esc looks familiar, could that be the one that lapped Masami?? I wonder......in a car that is stunning.

Mate where did you get the front wheels for the one on the windowsill, the one with yokomo wheels on the back - tell me all mate as I want those wheels for the rear and also for the front for my B3, if it will fit. Also the ZXS with the Yokomo adaptors.

Also do you have any more of those front shock tower mounts as well, the one with the YZ10 wheels on the back. That may be the very solution to my Legends problem. Mate send me some pics of the front end so I can see that part better. Cheers

It is indeed the Tekin 410K that lapped Masami!! Was it sheer luck, or a very talented pair of hands behind the sticks??

I need to get a new digital camera, but I can use my phone one for now... drop me a mail and I'll reply with the pics. :)
