This thread is funny as hell  I saw the vid on youtube via the rc10 vintage fb group, and I also thought "poor GT, why not run a 10T instead?"... Anyway... it's your kit, your money, your pleasure... you do what you want with it. Sounds like you aren't getting the praise you expected indeed. ;)

I've had 2 10T's I was bored with that.

This GT is living the dream, it's finally getting to do what it loves, ripping around a big offroad track.

I generally agree about not running a never-run vintage kit, but to each his own. Your money, your truck, your choice. However, some of you guys need to spend more time on eBay before claiming to know the market so well and giving someone such a hard time about it. Never run black gts are not rare or valuable, they are cheap and plentiful, relatively speaking anyway.

And I know at least one member here that benefited from ftgair selling his nitro parts on eBay.

I've considered doing this with a nitro truck before. I just never did since the darn thing runs so well. Nice work and I'm glad to hear that it runs well and that you are happy with the result.

Not running, its going in a never run shelf queen. I do have several running cv's, though. Great little engines.

The .12CV was ok but not great, only because of the ABN construction. They ran well and were reliable but the nickel plating broke down if they got too hot. The CVR on the other hand was fantastic.

Nicely put! This isn't rc10talkaboutshelfcarsonly.com. If you don't agree with it just don't read the thread

Was lookin at that .12 on ebay and thought about it just for kicks but glad it went to someone here. Those little redhead .12's were a blast. Likin the whole outlook on keepin it all in the chassis. Last time I was gonna do this I got all amped up and picked up all I needed then found out that the lipo wasn't gonna fit. That was when lipo was relatively new and didn't have much too choose from though. Might have to revisit that project box 8)

All this bitching is another example of how much this place has changed over the last two years

Great job on the truck and have fun with it.
