Yep, I saw the differences between the two gearboxs in the instructions.

Guess what I'm after now.

This is supposed to be a partially-built RC10 graphite I picked up on eBay a few days ago. But I'm wondering now whether I should open it or just turn it over to the local authorities.

HI!... Well I got this Marui "Hunter" off the "BAY" this morning. I was the only one who bid on it. Weird. Maybe because the seller had it labelled wrong. Anyway got it for $49. :D

Needs a body for sure, I will need some original or repo decals for it. I know nothing about these cars. I have only collected Tamiya, Traxxas and AE cars my entire life. So any info on it would be appreciated. :D

The Marui Hunter and its more upscale brother, the Galaxy, were decent entry-level cars that were at least as good as the Tamiya Hornet & Frog...for cheaper retail price. Both cars had oil-filled rear shocks (Hunter > monoshock, Galaxy had a pair) and the Galaxy had front oil-filled shocks as well. The Galaxy had a rollcage, the Hunter had a body...but other than that and the shocks, they were almost the same car. They were reliable bashers. I resto-modded a Galaxy to address some of the weak spots, you can check it out if you're interested--but I know you tend to go box-art with your restos. ;)

Not PDF format, but you can print out each page you need; they're JPG images.

HI!... Cool, thanks! 8) Is there any place that has a data base on the Marui Hunter or Marui cars in general? I know on Tamiyabase they have a entire database on the Tamiya cars. The year they were made and sold, dimensions, hop up parts, box art etc... I want to do a box art theme on this but don't know what the box art looked like. lol! What year was the Hunter made? Is there a good Marui website like this one but for Marui's?

The Hunter box art is simple. 2 colors, straight lines, not many stickers. This picture is pretty much all there is to it. Notice the typo on the light covers: "KC Daxlighter"...that always made me chuckle. Google is your friend. ;)

Here's a fellow member's Hunter resto, I like his paint job:

HI!... Thanks. Is that just gold and white? Ant particular colours? I know on the Tamiya's they give you a paint colour #. Did Marui have this, or u just matched it the best you could?
