That looks great! I going to be in the process of rewiring, insulating, and drywalling mine this summer. When you have your electrician out make sure to "overdo it" now so you don't regret it later!

Definitely! I considered doing it myself, but I've never worked directly from the breaker box so I'm more comfortable with a pro coming out.gomachv wrote:When you have your electrician out make sure to "overdo it" now so you don't regret it later!

Re: What your workstation looks like?
When we did my shed we only brought out one 20a line from the house. Didn't plan on much more than lights. If AC and heat are in your future (you deserve it) add the wattage, also plan for compressor, heat gun, lighting, drill press, 3d printer
, possibly a computer, tv, radio, etc. It's mind blowing when you add what you may one day put in that room!
Also, I would consider an alarm. I have mine tied into our house alarm with a separate keypad in the shed but even if it's a standalone alarm anything is better than nothing

Look in to electric inferred with both a timer and thermostat. L put in 3 on a covered patio vary nice. Down side to the ones we used 50 amp each.

Thanks for the tips guys. I already know I will need a lot of power for everything I want to do so I'll have him go all out. I'm considering alarms too. There are going to be a lot of valuables (at least to me) in there.

Think long and hard about what you wont , look up the amp on everything add them up , give that number to sparky, he can then see what you have left in the main panail and size a sub panal for the shop that will not max out your main

That will be one sweet space for you. Done just the way you want. Could not ask for much more.

Lucky for me these guys used a different method. He propped it up and put those wheels under it and then went around to the other side, lifted it and rolled it into place. The guy swung it perfect on the first try like he was parking a car. I was pretty impressed.

Ha that's cool! Ours was prefabbed locally, disassembled and then reassembled on site. Incredible how fast they re-built it

Re: What your workstation looks like?
They have anchors underneath the barn that the forks on that mule lock into to pick up the entire barn and bring it down the ramps of the truck. I was amazed the guy trusted that little machine to keep that barn from coming down on top of him coming down that steep ramp. Especially in the driving rain and wind. There was a lot of lightning too. I was impressed with the company from beginning to end. They're not the cheapest, but they don't f*** around.
