Turbo Optima Mid Freshly Built
The second gen of the Mid family would have to be my favorite. It had enough changes from the original to make it unique in my view. The upgrades included thicker anodized chassis, adjustable tie rods, front and rear swaybars, fiberglass shock towers, and a slick rear fiberglass brace as to say "no manual speed control please, this Mids for racing". And don't forget the color and blue stickers, big fan of those too. Unfortunately i'm still using an iphone for these pictures so while not perfect I think you would still enjoy them.

dude, I sent you a PM..did you get it ? I am also planning to build a SWB Mid from all the extra parts I have, with an added bonus of being able to run a lipo saddle without changing the narrow chassis. I hope this works !

Whats up buddy! Good to see you on here! I told you this site is the bomb for us optima midaholics! I'm pretty sure you could make it work. Just make sure you take lots of pictures so we can check it out. Never got the PM though. I had the same issue when I first joined. Its a little tricky. Try it again though.

No wonder I thought that style looked very familiar.Coelacanth wrote:Nice progress so far...I bet j0pp3 is loving your style of photography.
Re: Turbo Optima Mid Freshly Built
I tried placing the saddles on the SWB chassis last night and found it impossible unless I move them outwards which defeats the purpose of the saddle pack which is to lower the batteries and bring them close to center. The front of the right saddle was already touching the servo mount. So I will be working on a way to hold a lipo full pack or shorty pack if the upper deck will allow it through that is..Optimusprime wrote:alcyon wrote:dude, I sent you a PM..did you get it ?
