Re: The Loaner
No I didn't Phin. I was hoping since this is a one race deal I could get away with it. Been busy preparing the karts so not much time on the RC stuff. Actually the RC corner looks like hell from raping cars and thrashing. After next weekend I'll slowly put all my cars back together and mount them back on the shelf. Expectations are note extremely high but hope to have some fun. My buddy is taking the B5M I just built him and the RC10 out for testing tomorrow, we'll have to see how he likes it.

Re: The Loaner
So the motorplate doesn't have the extra stealth hole?
I ask because the anodizing looks a little light in the first pic and I'm thinking it may be an earlier Edinger motorplate. If so keep it undrilled.

Re: The Loaner
It came with the chewed up car. The motor screw hole on the bottom is trash too. Wish it was clean. I'd sell it on eBay for 400 dollars.

Re: Hillbilly Hoedown Race: The Loaner and the Worlds Car pr
Ok, so since I'm post whoring this page with my car I figured I'd change the title. Still procrastinated on Loaner and the race is tomorrow. I'll get the electronics and tie rods mounted tonight. Also, my TBG order came in so I figured I'd run my Worlds car. The stealth holes in the junk tub didn't quite get drilled right and no matter the amount of cleaning, I just wasn't happy with it. I'm sure a plastic stealth would have sufficed. I went ahead and layered the scratch free worlds with painter's tape and installed the TBG undertray. Installed a gold motor plate as my worlds one was modified by the previous owner for dirt oval. Then I looked at the Loaner, I tailored the paintjob after a boxart edition but slightly modified. Well my wife and her BFF love pinterest or however you spell that. She showed me a video about how people attempt to recreate what they saw and fail. So enter "Nailed It". So here's my "Nailed It" worlds paintjob for the race.
Big thanks to Reg for selling a B4.1 roller that donated parts to the Worlds car. Also to GomachV for his contribution.

Better check it out before I hit the track. Lol. I'm not an experienced off roader and she'll probably be on her shell for the majority of the time!

Well it was alot of fun. Only 5 entries in the vintage class. A well prepared CE with only the B4 topshaft mod stole the show but broke in the A main. Early problem in first turn trying to pass the third place car caused first two cars to check out. So my cars finished 1st and 3rd. I could have settled for second but honestly was having fun with the car that finished second. We were half a lap behind so we ended up just playing around. Now we have a lot of talk of starting a monthly meet for vintage cars!!!!!

That track is pretty challenging to say the least, congrats!
We should probably start a different thread about the monthly meet
Weekly would be tough but monthly I could do, it would be a blast!

Like Teman said, there has been some discussion and possibly trying to get a monthly get together racing in CNY. I'm in the process of shifting towards the kart season but my local tracks run Thurs and Friday nights. So a monthly race is very doable.

Yea I think monthly would be great. Is it a central location or different tracks?
