Kyosho Ultima Restoration - Highwayracer

Post by highwayracer »

Here are some pictures of my latest Ultima restoration. Unfortunately, this build went really quick and I didn't take any pictures of the progress. All I have is the original before picture:

Before:

I added a new cage and cleaned up a slightly used body. Under all of that dust and dirt, it was actually in near mint condition. I had a set of wheels and tires from another lot that completed the build.

After:

Here it is next to my shelfer:

Regards,
Roger

The driver is Colonel Troutman...Rambo's buddy. I had to give him a haircut to get him to fit.

Very nice car! The red trim in the paint job goes nicely with the original Ultima shocks. I love the green one too. :)

Well, if you want to trade those tecnacraft wheels for this entire car, let me know

The green body is actually a proline butterfly with the sides cut off. It was a new body, but the previous owner packed it badly and one of the sides got crushed during transit :x I decided to chop off the sides and it looks pretty decent.

I need to put some work into that car because the runner (blue) looks better than the shelfer.
