Kyosho Ultima Restoration - Highwayracer
Here are some pictures of my latest Ultima restoration. Unfortunately, this build went really quick and I didn't take any pictures of the progress. All I have is the original before picture:
Before: I added a new cage and cleaned up a slightly used body. Under all of that dust and dirt, it was actually in near mint condition. I had a set of wheels and tires from another lot that completed the build.
After: Here it is next to my shelfer: Regards,
Roger

The driver is Colonel Troutman...Rambo's buddy. I had to give him a haircut to get him to fit.losiXXXman wrote:Nice first gen Ultimas Roger. I have to get around to doing one of those. You color choice and schemes look very cool....who is driving that car BTW?

Very nice car! The red trim in the paint job goes nicely with the original Ultima shocks. I love the green one too.

Re: Kyosho Ultima Restoration - Highwayracer
The green body is actually a proline butterfly with the sides cut off. It was a new body, but the previous owner packed it badly and one of the sides got crushed during transit
I decided to chop off the sides and it looks pretty decent.
I need to put some work into that car because the runner (blue) looks better than the shelfer.
