PROJECT 3000 CARBON
I got this car from a good friend for 70euros including lots of spares and an unused viscodrive unit.
New unused and built allready.
Will put 17,5 an motor in it.
Do some of you know the inner gear ratio.
Looks likeit is close 2.
Will do an new uppertray from 2 mm carbon and maybe an new chassis aswell.

Re: PROJECT 3000 CARBON
Are there some option part that is must for this car.
In front there is an aluminium part where the diff is putting in but not in the rear.
Will the arms hold up or are they fragile.

Re: PROJECT 3000 CARBON
That´s a nice one to have - even though You overpaid a bit, 70 euros for a new built pro buggy is way too much
I´have some of the parts to build a 3000 but I wonder if my chassis is SST touring (too short)
Could You please give me the total length of Your chassis?
Thanks
NB - If You´re lucky, Schumacher might still have the diff carriers in alloy. Both top and bottom
I found mine a couple of years ago, in their vintage parts section.

Re: PROJECT 3000 CARBON
The CAT 3000 is one of my favourites
The arms are strong enough, and I've never broken too many.
You can get quite a lot of purple bling for the 3000, the diff housings front and rear, top and bottom, are available in alloy, the front C hubs too. The shock bottoms are available in purple alloy too, and they help with leaking. The only other racing upgrade that you could get would be the TDS system (basically a torque control and front braking adjustable slipper)
Paul.

Thanks for the offer on the chassis,
but I´m hoping to trade a cougar or fireblade chassis for a 3000 chassis sometime before 2020.

Re: PROJECT 3000 CARBON
The car an new chssis made out of 2mm thick carbon sheet.
Made also an undertray of glassfiber.
This will be an 2wd version. Lots of guys have tested this car and it is superb on carpent.
Weight little over 1,300gr.

Re: PROJECT 3000 CARBON
what do you remove to convert to 2WD?
I have a nice 3K sitting here, would like to try to use it somewhere, and 2WD intrigues me !
