It looks cool but not much much bite, unless You run it on longhaired carpet.
Multiple steel spikes in a rubber tire would do better.

I think this would corner better on ice, but regardless of what you do as far as tires R/C cars are just too light to get really great traction on ice. It would be fun once slowly brought up to speed though. Tracks have a hard time getting Turn Marshalls on the track as it is. Imagine if this became a racing class. You'd have to keep an ambulance on stand-by...

True, they are too light for much to work, but if you think about it, these saw chains should actually bite into the ice as their drug through it, where a spike simply slides across the top. hmmmm. I agree that the weight to traction ratio could be off a bit but what if this idea was strapped to a HPI Baja ??
