I'm thinking that may be a somewhat simple addition to the "Nostalgia" line.gomachv wrote:Really hoping we see a truck

I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

Thats what I'm really hoping for. Really like the Classic and the Worlds tribute car but would really love to see the 10T or even a T2 aluminum tub.gomachv wrote:Really hoping we see a truck

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
The 1/4" x 3/8" flanged bearing is a fairly expensive bearing, and to add 4 of them ads an unnecessary cost when the bushings were what was originally included and do the job just fine.ca-rj wrote:I just noticed in one of the pics on the AE website, that the steering rack has bushings in it. Really??? You're gonna add V2 shocks, B4 slipper but no bearings for the steering?
The other changes such as the V2 shocks or slipper are much smaller cost increase over the original, considering you still make two aluminum plates for the slipper or 4 hard anodized shock bodies. Besides all of those changes are somewhat out of necessity, I think many more people would be disappointed if the updates were not made.

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
I'm a big fan of the rerelease phase of RC, after seeing the new RC 10 Classic I decided to source a vintage A-stamp original gold pan, and found that you can still get these cars at a decent price. After restoring my a stamp to almost pristine condition,(I still run it) I found this 92 gold tub championship edition, in the box, at a hobby store in Minnesota! I picked it up for a very reasonable price. It's the last gold tub boxed, with all the best goodies. including stealth transmission, the best shocks they made back then, and the updated towers that the team drivers used. I picked up a set of bearings on eBay, it came with a very nice spec motor, and I plan to paint this in replica fashion. If you're willing to do the research, the originals are out there, but as far as the world's car ? unless you have Big money to spend on your hobby, forget about it.. so I'll be buying one of these! Thanks for thinking about us old guys Team Associated.

Totally using my one track mind, and didn't even think about the option of the truck.
That doesn't seem out of the question.

There's an idea for the New-World's car Tim (Patiofurnituregt wrote:[....I am also running the long wheelbase....

I didn't think it was the ones fastest around but the ones that can control it and put the lap counts upY'ernat Al wrote: The 20-somethings may be the fastest around most tracks most days,

Also agree, my accountant wrote off my first rc10gt but otherwise I didn't have alot of disposable income that I didn't end up drinking when I was 20 something

Not to derail this thread farther, but I too would like a 10T like I got in the summer of '94. I wish I still had it.

Just finishing up painting a new body for a runner. Might be a dumb question but I wonder if the turbo mirage bodies will come with window masks?

I totally agree with those who feel angry about this being a one-off money grab. I still have an original still in shrink wrap. There is no authenticity to these kits. It like knowing you have counterfeit art on your wall. Boo AE. Or really Boo Thundertiger

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
Two years ago people were bitching about getting parts made again, now people are bitching because the car is not identical to the original...toyowner wrote: Boo AE. Or really Boo Thundertiger
Why would you bitch when you are getting a new kit, that is at least 1/2 to 1/3 cheaper than what we were spending to build a car of the same parts a year ago.
Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit
Very true Seabass, everyone is entitled to their opinion but I don't understand why one would complain. The worlds car is being called a replica and not an identical reproduction. It's like a replica of a 427 Cobra, it's not indetical to the original there are some changes made to it but the look is there. I for one am happy to see these re-releases and the parts that come along with them. That's my 2 cents and over it.
