racer's edge makes these nice little aluminum shock mounts and if you buy the "off-road" version they come in two lengths. rcboyz on ebay sells them less than $5.00 including shipping for 4 of them with various color plastic inserts.

its actually a weirder problem than that.. i actually have the Hammad ghuman alloy ones.. but i need a way to mount the screw to the chassis..

in the back, i have the 3 hole adjustment thing.. but i have the screw holes at a flat 90degree angle.. meaning the screw sits flat to the ground. when i put the bushing in and then the shock, it goes at too extreme of a angle.. basically i am going to mill a "U" shaped peice of aluminum, screm then into the outer 2 holes, and then insert the shock in the middle..

hard to explain i guess

hard to see in the pics. maybe you could flip the rear arms rc10gt style and mount the shocks on the back of the arm?

Have you tried mounting the shocks up side down :?: the ball end might give you a wide mounting angle if it's thinner than the shocker top.

im am going to mount the electronics behind the drivers head by the tranny brace, the wing should cover them up..

the driver can be moved down a bit too, and the roof panel will raise it up a little too

ya just a tamiya driver, i have a ton of them i recast one day when i was bored and playing with extra molding material

i figured out my shock mount problem, while going through a huge box of screws and parts, i used a rc10l aluminum style servo mount (the ones that come up at a angle, trinity i think made them). Just mounted them, they work perfectly, just gotta polish them and since everyone in the house is sleeping, gotta wait till tommorow....

once i finish the front aluminum name plate, paint the lexan hood, mount rest of the electronics, and make a new wing... im gonna put this on the shelf finally lol.

Alright, well i blow at taking pictures... but with the exception of a couple more logos and stickers... im bout to call this project "a day" lol.

I made a "new" aluminum wings since i didnt like my old ones, i made a aluminum front plate with the stripe, and a hood panel..

im going to find or make some sort of plastic peice like a clamp to wrap around the tube and mount the wheel to it somehow... not sure hows its going to work but ill think of something, just dont want the exposed back wheel to show

gotta clean it and give it a final polishing and its good to go finally lol
