Reedy Race with RC10 demo class
Just a reminder that the Reedy Race this week will feature a demo class for the classic. Expect to see both Ryan's, Ruona, Spencer Rivkin, Paul Wynn and several others doing battle with the RC10! This is a great race to watch but when you consider that this is Associated's party and they've already revealed the B5, one can't help but wonder what else might be revealed at this race! Check out liverc.com for coverage!
For those tuning in you may recognize the RC10 Paul Wynn is racing. It certainly looks very familiar to me

Re: Reedy Race with RC10 demo class
My wife might think I left her and the kids, but I'll be there in person all weekend just to check out all the action.

Re: Reedy Race with RC10 demo class
just watched the demo class, it was fun to see the classics in action, and the worlds cars too. really playful, i am sure if they were more serious they could have put down some good laps

I don't care who says that the B4 wheel setup doesn't cause poor steering, I watched BK and Tim have crap center off steering- I've wheeled one with that problem, and all that it took was the correct axles and wheels and it was gone.
BK looked very smooth with his car-

Re: Reedy Race with RC10 demo class
Yeah, unfortunately Cav hadn't really driven his classic and Louis (his dad) did not put the e-clip on the top shaft and then topshaft shifted to one side and no longer driven. Then later BK broke a ballcup on the double-double.
Everyone else running a standard classic were also running the new JConcepts wheels, so they were significantly more traction limited than the world's cars on 2.2" wheels with good tire.
We'll be doing another demo tomorrow! So should be much more exciting!

Tim do you have an idea around what time you guys will do the demo on Sunday. I'm heading out to check out some racing but don't want to miss this one.Patiofurnituregt wrote:Yeah, unfortunately Cav hadn't really driven his classic and Louis (his dad) did not put the e-clip on the top shaft and then topshaft shifted to one side and no longer driven. Re: Reedy Race with RC10 demo class
I think I heard on one video they were going to run again 2:45 pst.
Yeah I'm not a big fan of the gt axle conversion that comes on the new worlds car so you can run b4 wheels. I wish they would have just remade the 2.2 front wheels with the proper backspace.

Re: Reedy Race with RC10 demo class
You have to consider those guys were running heavy horsepower and are used to driving a b4 hard through the corners. That was part of the problem I had at last years Cactus. I didn't have much wheel time on the car and trying to drive 2 different driving styles in the process. Its hard to do without the wheel time, but got used to it after I had the car a while.

Re: Reedy Race with RC10 demo class
My PC froze yesterday during the Classic race , but I have seen the entire race on YouTube. Today, we had our first Little League team meeting...when? During the demo race again today. All the best plans laid to waste. There is always next year.
I will need to try a different B4 front wheel set up, using standard axles and mix/match bearings with a spacer inside. I will see if I can get the pictures from Michael, it looks trick.

Cool to see people excited about the RC10, let alone having some of the top dogs battle it out!
Found some under-hood shots of Kinwalds car, not sure if they've been posted here or not, but since he's using this car at the reedy, I'll post them:
