Blue & Gold RC10 Classic

Post by arerrac »

Finally completed my build. May not be for all since I dyed all the white parts BLUE!!! I had never dyed my RC10 parts before and always wanted this color combo. Finding the rear tires was tough. Finally located a set at my LHS, J&M Hobbies in San Carlos. Fitting the speed control in there with a driver was hard. Never ran with the ESC on the shock tower, but I see it's commont practice so there it stays. All i need to do is align the front and rear ends and then it's off to the shelf!!!

Just kidding, I do plan on running it a bit. Just a bit!

Hope you enjoy!

That turned out really nice. Those wheels look like duratrax and they match the other gold stuff nicely.

J&M is one of my favorite places in the Bay Area.

This looks awesome. Love the blue and also the wing left clear.
Gives me some inspiration to tackle my unpainted body!

Thanks for the complements guys!!!
Have learned a lot from this forum and enjoy all the builds.
The paint is Tamiya metallic blue backed with silver. Put the blue on a little
thick, but with the depth if the lexan, it's pretty nice.
J&M is a great little place. Like walking into a time warp.

You must admit it, it was fun dying the parts :P

I dyed my ball cups dark blue for my classic runner. The blue looks good with the gold, very cool. I knew that blue was tamiya, it reminded my of the Fox for some reason and that was it.

It was fun dying them. Second guessed myself a couple times, but I went for it.
I'm very happy with how the color came out.

Great color combo, wouldn't have thought of that one but it obviously works nicely.
