if you guys ever see me online playin gt6 just shoot me a psn message and i can open up a room for a little online play.

im all done with the game, until they release the next seasonals and whatever else, so i dont really have much motivation besides online at this point.

redbull fan car races were freaking fast, but on each race i was able to pass sebastial vettel. ;)

i actually had alot easier time with the fan car than i did the normal redbull car challenge before it. holy cow i had problems.

OMG, I hated that car/track. I'm a very stubborn driver, and keep messing with settings until I get a car I can drive, then I start turning laps...not going to say faster and faster, but practice/practice/practice until I get it right and fast (wish I did my RC racing the same way, LOL).

Sorry I don't play online, I tried playing in GT5, but just did not see the point. If I'm on when you guys are I will give it another try! Right now 100% with all gold and my first PSN platinum trophy! Hated the coffee break trophies the most! What the hell does knocking down pylons have to do with racing?

I have not done those yet, getting close though.

So how do I play with anyone, or look at times etc etc.

Open Lobby is how to play directly against other players, real time...I did that for a while in GT5, but it lost its shine with buggy "servers" that you would get a full black screen and have the other racers yelling at you for sitting in the middle of the track.

I love the online challenges (cant think of the name of it right now, but it is the box below Open Lobby), usually a specific car, time attack against a track, no bumping walls or dropping off the track or your time is invalid. You can look at online standings, it shows how you are doing against the world, or against your friends list. I really prefer these, makes you really try hard to drive correct and not do a "smash and grab" style of driving. You get to see a line on your screen as you attack the course, your best time & that of your friends. So if you are struggling with a certain portion of the track, you can see exactly how your friends are doing that portion. I did turn off "ghost car" so that my personal best is also just a line :)

I have completed almost ever GT series game out there, with the exception of 5...I couldnt bring myself to do the 24 hour races. I am taking my time and just completing a few events each time I log in, and tackling any new online challenges. I keep looking to see if I am getting stomped to see if I can better myself (except the snow race, Rod from Canada has a distinct advantage against this Sunny Cali guy!!).

Cool, thank you. I can not get to the lobby yet. Do not have my A license. But will check out the special events for sure.

Seasonal Events :) - I have only gone into the open lobby once, with my son, so we could race each other directly. Now we just go into the multiplayer arcade mode and duke it out.
