Let's hope less,I'm sure after they're gone they'll surpass that and some, just like the classic did.ca-rj wrote:Anyone want to guess on what this one will cost? I'm guessing $350.

Re: #6002
We'll, I guess that makes it a little easier for them since the black arm have been around very recently (fronts still avail) and the other white parts can be robbed from the classic....no need to make white arms
very sad. Wonder if we will see white or black castor blocks.

Re: #6002
Very exciting news! I don't care what it does to the value of the originals, I just want to own a Worlds Car!

Re: #6002
I expect this to be Associated's big Stealth transmission re re. Currently, some parts are available(less tranny) for a "worlds" "look" kit. With these currently available parts, this would be a shotty, but "fun" re re. Keeping in mind beauty is in the eye of the purchaser. I'm hoping AE goes further than just a Stealth tranny re re with yellow wheels. But whatever, I'm still stoked for it!
Would original World's collectors prefer a shotty or "truer" homage?
Currently on Tower:
2.2 yellow wheels
Green team shocks(plastic caps)
Black chassis(no milling)
Black transmission plate
Black nose
White Bell crank
Black Steering blocks
Black Front arms
Black Rear hub carriers
Black steering blocks
etc...
Would still need:
Stealth
Stealth brace
Yellow Fronts
Black rear arms
Body(what if they used the Viper?)

Re: #6002
The more I think of it, I would be tempted to make the "Worlds" Look as a runner with all new parts and one of the extra stealth trannys I have. The current chassis parts are pricey... but the molds of the plastics are probably way better than my B4.2!
Here's to hoping they mill that chassis!

Re: #6002
I could see them doing a "Worlds" car with a combo of old stock black and re-re white parts, old stock team shocks, and their 2.2 wheel conversion parts to run B4 yellow wheels. To that they'd really just need the stealth trans, a run of black rear arms, a run of yellow TT rear wheels, and cut some carbon towers.

Re: #6002
It may well end up being a Team Car Rod, one line in the back of a manual may or may not really say much, except that they know how to get free internet advertisingslotcarrod wrote:From what I understood, it was going to be a Team Car. Now they list a World's.... very interesting!

Re: #6002
YES! I can finally own a World's car. I know some of you are purists and while I would love to own an original, at least this way I can actually afford to have one, even if its not the version 1.0, I can still have one. Depending on the pricing, I may have to buy 2 this time just because I would want a runner.

I'd guess the same onePhin wrote:Think they'll go through the trouble of making a mold for a Worlds rear bulkhead or just use the existing re-re rear bulkhead with the extra camber holes?

They'd be crazy not too... these things will sell like hot cakes anyway, and most buyers won't know any betterCharlie don't surf wrote:I'd guess the same onePhin wrote:Think they'll go through the trouble of making a mold for a Worlds rear bulkhead or just use the existing re-re rear bulkhead with the extra camber holes?
