Hello from Utah

Post by lynndyl »

Greetings from Utah. This is my first time back in the RC world in over 15 years and am looking forward to getting back in the hobby. My first and only "real" RC car was a Championship Edition RC10 from about 1992. I built it as a kid and had fun with it. I recently pulled it out of storage and am looking at making a few minor upgrades to get it up and running again, then forking out some money for a new ride. For now, I am just looking at getting it running so I can have some fun with my 6 year old that just got his first Costco RC car for Christmas.

I look forward the the discussions with the group.

Welcome,

Lots of knowledgeable people around here. They can guide you.

How about some pics before you upgrade it. I always like to see them in the wild rides.

Welcome aboard, your story is similar to many of ours...rediscovering that old car from decades past in a dusty box, having the urge to restore it...leading to buying MORE vintage RC cars, spending MORE money that you ever originally intended to, and sharing your projects with the rest of us who got sucked in similarly.
Completed projects: CYANide Onroad Optima | Zebra Gold Optima | Barney Optima | OptiMutt RWD Mid
Gallery - Coel's Stalls: Marui Galaxy & Shogun Resto-Mods | FrankenBuff AYK Buffalo | 1987 Buick GNX RC12L3

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm excited to have fun with the RC10 again sometime hopefully soon. Here are some pics.
