Re: Keil-Associated RC10 F1
Pretty cool. Never heard of it before but a quick Google turned up this pic from rctech.net:
I've been wanting to do a project based on the Advance Super Sport F1 RC10 conversion and often wondered if AE would build an F1.

Re: Keil-Associated RC10 F1
This was nothing to do with Associated, and it isn't an Associated F1.
Christian Kiel was Associateds importer for Germany and he developed an F1 to compete with the Corally F1. It's a mix of RC12LC and RC10L2 parts, motor pod and T-piece is from the RC12LC, diff and axle parts from the 10L2 to fit Pro10 wheels. Front wing and rear wing and mount are Corally parts. Body is from Protoform. The only custom parts are the chassis plate, front cross plate for front suspension and pod plate.
It was competitive, winning races in Germany, but not seen anywhere else. Unfortunately it appeared just as F1 was dying off as a class.

I have that car, I mean that car on the catalog...way back when our Marketing guy did the box art for Keil and he gave me the car. Its based off a pan car, I ran it at the Major Taylor Veledrome for the Velo Nats years ago...Now its in a box in my storage.

My brother had one when I was younger... And I am sad to say I thought it was a toy and broke it... I still hear about it to this day
