How many bearings?

Post by tbfoto »

I have a gold pan RC10 with the 6 gear tranny. The chassis is stamped "A". The parts manual I have says that the car uses three different size bearings in it.

1/4 x 3/8: four flanged for the rear wheels, and one for the transmission.
3/16 x 5/16: four flanged for the front wheels, and one flanged for the transmission.
3/16 x 5/16: two plain for the transmission.

This is a total of 12 bearings.

However.....

It lists part numbers as:
#6900 Ball Bearing set, 16 bearings.
#6901 Ball Bearing, 3/16 x 5/16 , plain, pr.
#6902 Ball Bearing, 3/16 5/16, flanged, pr.
#6903 Ball Bearings outdrive, 3/8 x 5/8, plain, pr.
#897 Ball Bearing, 1/4 x 3/8, flanged, pr.

So my question is what are the other 4 bearings?
I ordered the 12 bearings listed above. What am I missing?

Thanks,
tbfoto

2 - 3/16 x 5/16 plain (trans)
9 - 3/16 x 5/16 flanged (4 for the front wheels, 5 for the trans)
5 - 1/4 x 3/8 flanged ( 4 for the rear axles, 1 for the trans)

16 in total for an rc10 with a 6 gear trans, with the original 3 piece front or tq rims.

Can you tell me what size are the bearings that go in the idler gears on this tranny? It had flanged bushings in it so I'm assumming it will take flanged bearings.

Oh man...I forgot about RCBOYZ. I have boughten from them in the past. I got my bearings from Boca bearing Co. I think I paid WAY too much. Live and learn I guess.
