Protech I painting

Post by RichieRich »

Hey guys! I've never painted a protech 1 body. Is it supposed to have a "simulated" roll cage? What's with all the lines at the rear of the body? Are those supposed to be windows? Just wondering as you don't see many pics of the rears of RC10s.

Yeah I left all that stuff around the back open with just the cage painted. Check my readers RC10's thread for pics.

Thanks for the help guys. So many nude rc10s here you'd think people would be painting left and right after associated started cranking out bodies again.

I'd suggest looking at photos of older baja buggies and seeing what kind of schemes they have, and adapting that to the protech body. That is what I am doing, I just haven't found the scheme yet.

I tell you what for "box art" paint schemes that is one of the nicest... the pin stripes in the number is a super nice touch.
