Attached are scans from of the Worlds warm-up from Romsey (Spring International) in 1987.

On the last page, in right end, the Optima car of Cliff Lett,
The front arms are machined and for the rear ,I can't see if it's the Kyosho rear end or the RC10.

I think the 834B is not the Gil car, more E.Soderquist (Twister motor / Tekin)
they used the Hotshot Wheel on the car.

Maybe someone have others races scans from this period.

Oh yes, the worlds warm up race. My buddy and me were running 4WD there but just didn´t get our cars (and the drivers) working there so decided to visit the worlds later just as spectators. So seeing Masami doing his first worlds title, great memories.

Yes for sure the 834B isn´t Gil´s car. I think he did run either Trinity or Losi motors.
