Always wanted a Hotshot.....finally got one from my wife as a gift...Just finished her up..pretty happy...haven't decided if it will be a shelf queen or a runner
I will check the color code ...i don't know if i have the heart to run it...it's so clean and the way i want it...hahaha....ok next, i have a mauri hunter in amazing shape...Time to strip, clean, lube and reassemble her
Keep it as a shelfer... they really, really, REALLY run like crap. By the time you will have run one pack through it, these rose-tinted glasses will have shattered to pieces

Hi everyone - so much like when I started out with the Sand Scorcher project, I'm a complete and total newb with the Hot Shot. I picked up a re-re at a lhs for $199 - which wasn't bad so I pulled the trigger.
I've already started hoarding some...

I ever have the thorp hotshot ball diff , yes the out drive is slot to keep the swing shaft.
Starting to put one of these together. Mainly because it was the first RC off road I built back when it came out. Shied away from it later because there were no parts available. You had to buy a whole kit to keep the suspension arms that seemed to...
This was the first HotShot that I built. It just sat on the shelf & then I sold it to buy Sand Scorcher parts. i missed it so I got another to run. I really liked the way it turned out but I like the purple one better.
Enjoy
