Re: RC10 Factory Works MIP 93' Worlds Racer Restoration
Should not be a problem. I live in Milwaukie and work in Tigard. I have asked Eustace if he has anything for the project, and he said he would let me know if he comes up with anything. I am still hoping he will come up with something to help the project along.MayorRC wrote:Wow, what a cool piece of history! Even better yet: It's in Portland! Hopefully I'm able to cross paths with you sometime to see the car in person!
Awesome to hear Mr. Moore himself get interested in the project. Maybe he has some of the old stickers laying around the warehouse somewhere?

Besides the AE decals I have, this is the other stuff I have that may work on this body. I also tried to show the size of the MIP decals that I need.

It looks like a really simple paint scheme, the seperation between yellow and white looks to start towards the rear of the left side and possibly angle over and towards the front of the right side.

lol todd you funny guy. looks like you're set with decals.
i agree chris, that paint scheme shouldn't be a problem for who ever paints it. i wonder if there's more pictures of it somewhere?

I was being funny with Romulus about finding a painter.

Rob, it is true, I have lot's of decals, but I do not have all that I need for this car. I do not have the correct MIP decals, or any Orion decals. There are a few others as well. I need to find some American Flags that are the correct size too.littleVETTE wrote:lol todd you funny guy. looks like you're set with decals.

I was wondering myself if the yellow angled towards the front on the right side, or if it was an optical illusion?

Re: RC10 Factory Works MIP 93' Worlds Racer Restoration
The other thing I am trying to figure out is how the yellow goes from the side to the roof? Looks kind of goofy. Not sure if the black angles as well? Without more pics, it is going to be difficult.littleVETTE wrote:that's how i see it too. starting from the left back corner of the body down to the front right.

yeah that black decal right under the front "window" gives you the wrong impression of how paint is angled. looking at it more, it looks likes the yellow runs evenly across the front of the body. the black too, looks like it's painted evenly across the top.
i wonder if cedric has any pictures of it?

Re: RC10 Factory Works MIP 93' Worlds Racer Restoration
Hi there,
I have attached another pic of the car from a UK magazine in 1993. Its probably not too much help as its black and white. I have also attached some pictures of the JRX version of the conversion from another magazine.
Fingers crossed they are of some help,
Luke

well that answers the questions to the paint job, MIP and NOVAK decals, and the gear cover. very cool luke.
i also asked cedric about any pictures he might come across of the rc10. he's looking into it.
