What shall we call this?
I put this in OT because, quite frankly, it doesn't really fit any particular forum.
It is a conglomeration of parts from about 8 different vehicles
-RC10GT chassis, transmission, suspension, bulkheads and front shock tower
-RC10GT2 rear shock tower, modified
-RC10 buggy caster blocks and front steering arms/axles
-Prolite 4x4 shocks and Reedy 550 BL motor
-Venom 80A ESC
-SC10 front wheels w/proline calibers
-Losi 1/8 rear wheels w/Proline Recoils
-Traxxas Slash 17mm hex adapters, modified
-RC10 buggy Viper body
It started out with buggy suspension, but it proved too tippy in the corners and steered a bit too sharply. I figured the truck width would help with both of those things, and the longer suspension travel should also help smooth it out. With the rotating mass of those 1/8 wheels, it is incredibly responsive in the air.
It's very fast, with 24/62 gearing going through the 2.65:1 GT trans out to 4-1/2" buggy tires. I haven't radar checked it, but I'm betting 70-ish on 3S.
So what is it (besides pissed-off looking)? A buggy? Truggy? Short course buggy? Fast attack vehicle?

I'm pretty sure Vintage AE already coined the term a long time ago. It's a "thingy". And a cool one at that!

Re: What shall we call this?
I was thinking more along the lines of vehicle type than a specific moniker. That is funny, though. However, the current bumper is temporary, just something to protect the hinge pins.with that snout of a bumper, i'd name it the squeeler.
I have been referring to it as "electric GT buggy short course thing", but that's a lot of syllables. Was wanting to come up with something more pithy.

Its pretty much a desert buggy. Or that's what I have seen wide arm buggies with sc wheels called. Although most are a buggy body and sc wheels slapped on a st.

^^^^^^
I can go with that.
RC-10 Warthog. Funny that I hadn't even considered that when slapping the left over P-40 airplane stickers on this. lol.
I guess all I need now is a miniature GAU cannon to mount on it.........
