Do it, just to see what kind of deal you might get on some of the ads you might be interested in...

At the very least, you can always post the responses here.

rc10 are rare and vintage
Yup. So rare that you can only find 60 or 70 gold pans on fleabay at any given time.

Some of these people are either totally shameless or totally clueless (maybe both)

Greedy idiots. I agree that I've been tempted to create another email account so I could comment to these whackjobs.

Douchebaggery saved for posterity in this thread.

Hi guys I just found this thread and I had to add to the comedy. Unfortunately it is not a car but just as funny nevertheless.

It is something from Kijiji in London Ontario

http://london.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-hobbies-crafts-RC-Wing-W0QQAdIdZ522648531

Wing UN-destructible around 53 "

No I am not going to tell you how it is made.
It does come with controllers arms and a motor mount and I'll email the instructions after the sale; and only after the sale. No returns whatsoever, because I can not guarantee the condition when previously owned. The $200.00 doesn't even cover the cost of the materials; yet, the time skill and development that it took to create such a bad boy. So the price is firm, and
I am not going provide any useful information until your money is in my bank. LOL

So please don't waste my time if your not interested in buying this wing.

Here is another one from north of the boarder. This time it is for a butchered ultima pro.

I have been looking at this guys ad for more than a year. This guy must be drinking the vintage gold mine kool-aid. I really wish I had kept the emails from some these characters from kijiji/craigs list so I can post it here. One guy was trying to convince me that his "vintage" Futaba attack radio missing crystals and receiver was worth $300 on fleabay and I was getting the car for free!

If you have one of those early Novak brushless systems laying around that tend to burn out if you look funny at them (or some other crap system) that might end up as a good trade. You end up with a decent (certainly not) brushless-ready Ultima and he ends up with something that's worth about the right amount to anyone with a brain (not him).

I don't have time to go get new tires for this, but I do have time to remove the beat up roller bars (why???).

What steps is he taking to sell with good care?

This is pretty funny!

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/wsh/tag/4209667816.html
Radio Shack r/c Gear Gryphon is used. Works great! Batteries are included. Tons of Fun!

This RadioShack Gear Gryphon is built to handle the road in style, whether
the road is the hallway in your house or the sidewalk outside. Built to
1/13 scale, it can reach speeds of up to 1122 feet per minute! It has
super-size racing wheels to handle the straight-aways or rough spots, and
two gear speeds to handle most racing conditions.

The Gear Gryphon's electronically controlled gearshift lets you change
gears at the press of a button on the transmitter while the Gear Gryphon
is moving. When your friends stop to change gears on their cars, you can
move right on by!

Note: You need the following items to power your Gear Gryphon: (included)

At least one 9.6-volt rechargeable battery pack (RadioShack Cat.
No. 23-229 or 23-329) for the car.

One 9-volt battery for the transmitter (Cat. No. 23-553).

One battery pack charger (Cat. No. 23-240).

WARNING: This car can reach higher speeds than many other radio-controlled
cars. Be careful to avoid high-impact collisions with people and
objects.
