I found this at http://www.jerobee.com.
The last post is not so old and he states that he has lots of spareparts.
Worth looking in to ?

Re: Jomac Lightning 2000 preview.
Back to the topic...
Some progress after a little cleanup and parts swapping to get a little closer to a Ralph Burch Jr replica.
But first I bought another standard Lightning for next to nothing (sorry Bill) to rob a few parts from:
I don't know if the transcamarobird body is Parma or Associated...
Jay?
And after a little cleanup and parts swapping it looks like:
It's got some issues...:
Nothing that can't be fixed, but not really a priority.

Re: Jomac Lightning 2000 preview.
And on to the RBJr car.
It features every lightweight item in the catalog except for a Delrin pinion gear. I'm still looking for that as well as a Parma lightweight throttle resistor.
It looks quite a bit different as compared to the car at the beginning of this thread.

Wild looking little cars, the wheels and bodies are especially nice.

Re: Jomac Lightning 2000 preview.
here is my schkee lola porsche version
i just got it off ebay it had the porsche stickers and associated so though it was a associated porsche, o well guess not. i mounted it on a very clean rc12 chassis and made new cut outs to fix the rear wheel wells. i think i might put some rivet stickers to make it like like its removable after i paint them red to match the body. o and remove the porsche stickers lol.

In 1980 I ran a Leisure electric in ROAR/Production class in So California and finished 5th in the state....at 11-12 years old.... Good times.templeofspeed wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2007 9:16 amI don't exactly know what it is, must be the elegant simplicity. A bit of flexy plank with electrics and wheels, fine tuned to be a slot car with steering... and every manufacturer (and builder) put their own personal touches to the design making them all interesting.RETRO R/C wrote:.........just something about them.

OK, who's got an AE (or Bolink, or Leisure, or...?) "Group 12" spec car? I've got the 1980 catalog listing from Associated.
Darryn, I look forward to good news!
