I guess hard anodizing or powder coating will get scratched either way....except on the shelf, lol

Maybe its time for me to try the polished aluminum chassis look. Im afraid to run my pink cuda; i dont want to mess up the pink chassis....yes pink chassis, lol

How does the lexan cover do with heat from a nitro engine? the bottom of the chassis tends to get hot.

If that works i will definitely consider it!

ah, I neglected to look at your link and then it hit me you have nitro. the lexan should be fine even to around 200 degrees, but for a nitro pan, I don't think they make an undertray(at least yet). might be able to still use a standard pan one though.

No problem...I think may try my hand at cutting one up out of lexan sheets and use it on the the DS or a GT(what ever i take out first).

The cool part is that i wont need to cut a hole to bumpstart the engine's flywheel; i use pull starters.

Oh and just to share....just got another nitro DS in the mail, lol SWEEEEEEET...another project!!!

HI!... Are the RC10 DS hinge pins specific to it? Seems all my regular RC10 hinge pins are too long or too short. Anyone know where I can get some for the DS?

Thanks :

Inner front 8825
Outer front 6223
Kingpin 6223

Inner rear 8862
Outer rear 8864

So yes. Some are specific and they use the standard kingpin for a front outer also

HI!... Thanks, I already had the part #'s, there in the manual. I did a ebay search and came up with nothing. Went to Oldrc.com and they are out of stock. Know anywhere else I can get a set?

The DS specific parts are hard to find, I haven't seen anything but a set of shocks and a Antiroll bar locally. Might see if Lundsford sells by length still?

HI!... Worst comes to worst I will just bring a set of regular RC10 ones to work and machine them down and regroove them on the lathe. I think I got almost everything now to start the build. Even scored a NIP set of DS Mustang decals. Just need a NIP Mustang body.
