They told us the stamped parts were made in the USA. Doesn't matter when it was made, quality control should have caught this at every stage.slow_jun wrote:Sorry to hear this, I believe this is a typical Chinese QC, I don't thing that some parts are made from US then shipped to China. If these were made from US? that QC should be fired by now. seems like yours were made on a Friday afternoon and is payday.trkneller wrote:I guess the worst part is that the chassis is one of the few American-made parts, right?
You can also see the four greenish-colored screws that were in the rear arm bag.
that's just my guess, but hey we can never know where it is actually made.

What is the countersink angle on the 8-32 screws? I have seem some 8-32 flathead screws with 82-degree angles and some with 100-degree angles.trkneller wrote:I guess the worst part is that the chassis is one of the few American-made parts, right?

Question, a lot of the guys have said the parts weren't white. I wonder if the whitening trick would work on these new parts?
As far as orders, I'm upset I updated my address like a week or two ago. They just took my money a couple of days ago and checked the invoice, still shows the old address. Thank you tower, free shipping to my family in Mo so I can pay for shipping to NY. AWESOME!!!

It's annoying when you already have the 82 and 100 and also have a slew of metric cars

Does your Tower account show the new address? If it does, call Tower and tell them you changed your address as shown on your account. Ask them to change the destination. UPS allows the shipper to do that as late as the same day of delivery (even if it's on the truck and out for delivery). UPS will charge Tower for the change but it's better than you paying. You can also contact your family and have them refuse delivery, it will go back to Tower. Don't tell Tower it's your family, just that your have moved.Johnboy72 wrote:Question, a lot of the guys have said the parts weren't white. Are people really disappointed that parts are off-white like the original parts? And that they should have been bright white?
