Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?
I'm not liking the way that some boxes look like they have scuff marks to the artwork as a kit box should be truly mint when it is first received. Some of the Japan and Hong Kong sellers are notorious though for the flimsy method of packing and protecting kits for the mail transit. Mine are coming from the States so I really hope they get treat with the care that they should.

Arrived today.
Boxes from Tower had about 2" of space between the actual RC10 box and the outer packing box with no packing material so they could potentially get bounced around. These two are perfect...

I have two confirmed as 'posted' from Tower, but they have a long way to travel to get to me in the UK. Hope they make it in mint condition. I have another due tomorrow from a DMS Racing in the UK so hopefully one of the three will be in perfect condition!huminski wrote:Arrived today.

Do, or do not! There is no 'try'!
RC; Boats, Buggies, Trucks, Bash's, Racing and of course 'VINTAGE'!

What are the differences between a vintage box and new box (in terms of writing, picture, stickers, etc)?

Mine did show up today and it was packed the same way with no padding. Smaller box in a bigger box and one corner did get crushed a tad but I will just deal with it...

They are different - new box:Dirtdiver wrote:What are the differences between a vintage box and new box (in terms of writing, picture, stickers, etc)?
Box end panels are the same color picture as front cover. Bottom of box has copy. Car pictures on long sides of box are of the re-re. Address, Made in China and thinner cardboard are more differences.

I don't care if it is a re-re or not. Feels strange cutting the seal on a gold pan box. Sure is fun though.
I'm pretty sure I will run it.

Mine has the original silver seal as well as 2 additional clear seals on the ends of the box. Happy to say my box is mint!
