Yeah, looks like they're being invoiced. Hopefully they ship in the next day or two.

No email yet but I did get my package of bearings.
Always so anti-climatic opening a package of bearings. For the amount you spend it's such a small pouch, especially if you get a bunch of diff balls.

I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

Sorry I know there were a few posts about bearings, but was there consensus on the best kit to buy out there? And do I need outdrive bearings?
I'm thinking avid or someone is a safe bet, but thought I'd clarify before I purchase.

Just wondering, if they release a re-re of a stealth kit ( and I'm sure they will ), would some of you guys be putting a stealth in the classic, or just leave it stock.

You maybe the lucky one in the US and get yours first!
I'm just glad to see there is movement and I can hope to see mine soon!

I don't know if you NEED the outdrive bearings; the Jim Halsey tranny guide from the 1980's didn't use them, but I suppose if you're running a lower turn brushless motor it can't hurt.flipwils11 wrote:Sorry I know there were a few posts about bearings, but was there consensus on the best kit to buy out there? This set came in the mail the other day, they seem like decent quality just spinning by hand.

Looks like a good set. Avid R/C doesn't have all the bearings in stock right now, and they aren't rubber sealed. Boca Bearings has metal shield kits for $16, and Green Seals or Ultra Seals for $31 and $38, but none of the sets include the larger 3/8" x 5/8" outdrive bearings. Those are at least $7 each for the Green Seal bearings.

I bought 2 bearing sets because I pre-ordered 2 kits. I cancelled one of the pre-orders and have an extra kit. If anyone wants it, $25 shipped to the US.

And I really hope we get stronger gears
I would use it in my original runner and get a few extra bits for a 3rd buggy

I have a tracking number from Tower. Shipping from IL (and I'm in CA), so I bet everyone will be getting theirs from the same place.
