All these cancelations are disturbing. Please people. You have waited this long and now your going to throw in the towel? I'm sorry but I just don't get your rationale.

Someone on Tamiyaclub made a good observation. Is it possible that our delay is due to the government shutdown and that the shipment is on hold until the government starts back up?

For me it's not the wait ( I've been waiting on a book translation for six years) it was a financial decision.

Knowing this area, he's probably really shady and you'll never see the kit
I bought a few ESCs from the eBay seller in Tampa. Definitely not shady. 2 day shipping to my door.
I stand corrected

I posted this a while back! I feel even more justified, I just don't care about the "Classic" anymore! Having parts for a runner is cool though!slotcarrod wrote:Quite typical, October 15th now! At this rate we may be lucky to see it for Christmas!
The excitement is dwindling for me, I think I will cancel one of my cars! I only need a ReRe shelf queen, as I have original runners anyway! Good thing they delayed it, saved me some money!

Yeah, seriously tempting. I could buy a lot of parts for what I am paying for 2 kits.

No, it doesn't look like it:ca-rj wrote:Someone on Tamiyaclub made a good observation. Is it possible that our delay is due to the government shutdown and that the shipment is on hold until the government starts back up?

Besides, Tower announced the delay to mid-October about a month ago.The website of U.S. Customs and Border Protection says the agency’s port of entry operations, including cargo security and revenue collections “will remain operational” during the shutdown. The American Association of Port Authorities said it had determined that 88% of U.S. Customs and Border Protection employees would remain on the job. A spokesman for the Port of Los Angeles said he didn’t know if that meant across the board at all the ports, but so far there had been no problems in LA.

Jeff I didn't just cancel mine, I'm still getting one, but from a different shop
I've had mine on backorder sins day one and the uncertainty of when or if was getting to me
Mine is now paid, packed and ready to ship, just not from Tower ....
Yes it's gonna cost a bit more but I can relax now knowing it's coming
That's the only reason for me to order from a different shop, and had nothing to do with the current issues in the US

The excitement is dieing for me too. Associated should have released the car first then the parts for that reason. I'll still get my two kits but the sparkle has faded slightly in my eyes.

I can't wait to get mine!!! It's going to be awesome!!!
Sorry for the over-exuberance, I had unicorn tusk for dinner...
But seriously, I am still excited to get mine. It would be nice if they'd hurry up and send it though.

Actually, the reason I only ordered one is because like some of you, I plan on buying a boatload of parts too.
