Re: wide rc10 .. widest rc10 ever?
wow 5 days and 1 comment..( i know the pics are kinda crappy) i never saw anything like this before so i had to build it. just thought people might like to see someone doing something different then a stock rc10 build ..
Re: wide rc10 .. widest rc10 ever?
It certainly has that 'wheel at each corner' look - very square
Be interesting to hear how it handles - corner grip should be pretty good, not too sure how it'll cope with rippled surfaces in a striaght line.

I'm glad you posted in this again. Looks great and really wide! I have a broken arm on a RC10 and some spare T3 arms. hmmm...

it handles good and turns alot sharper then you would think(its kinda a wider 10t with a shorter wheelbase).. the wide offset rims could use a stronger servo(runing futaba s3003) but this was more of a project that i wanted to have for the shelf and just something i wanted to do cause i never saw it done. i got the idea for the project cause i have always been into the crazy front ends they put on desert racing trucks and atvs .Percymon wrote:It certainly has that 'wheel at each corner' look - very square![]()

Re: wide rc10 .. widest rc10 ever?
do it .. the rear is rc10t arms and the t3 front arms must be trimmed a little to fit on the rc10 front arm mounts.. i was wondering how this would look without the monster truck conversion ,if you wantSFC K wrote:I'm glad you posted in this again. you could just use rc10t/t2/t3 rims. it will not be 15 inches wide but it would be alot cheaper to build.. the real fun is finding what long front shock tower to use. you could run stock shocks and tower but i think the long tower and large shocks really give it that crazy look

I'd have to take some measurements, but this one I was playing around with took on a rather ridiculous stance when outfitted with foams. Of course it's wider stance only allows for more dust to collect on it at the moment...
I rather liked it though.

I collect dust too, the rc cars just give me a place to display it! lol

Re: wide rc10 .. widest rc10 ever?
Looks like the Term based "trucks" some of the guys around CNY were building to "beat" our XXXT and T4s. But we were running oval with Losi slider rear tires on all four corners, these guys were running these modified "cars" with foams. You bump them and they would go flying!!! Loved it.
As far as the RC10 with the truck arms, it'd be neat to have it tracked down and keep the CG low. But I think I wouldn't try to race it. Bad enough these things are like open wheeled vehicles...you'd have to put Wide Load stickers on the body to keep the other racers properly warned!
