It was nice to have the chance to own two kinds of alloy gear cases made by Walt & Rouge elements. Haven't acquired the golden years tranny case yet because of price..
Which do you think looks better or made better? Didn't have a chance to try it out yet since my rc10's are the six gear type...

while some of the exterior on walt's looks a little rougher i like it better.
it's cleaner on the inside, and looks like it weighs less due to less material.
both are excellent specimens, i just preffer the looks of walt's, less "blocky" the the rouge.
Scr8p beat me to the punch on this one, Walt was the machinist on one of the cases.
Both guys who did the work did outstanding work on these. I can appreciate the amount of work that went into the production of these cases. Both are great examples of the craftsmanship we have at this forum.
Edited the name.. It was a while back already..
For me i like the more detailed look on the Walt's work. Looks more closer to the original. Both are still very well made..

Both have the goods. Like the pin system in Walts and the fact he made them in delrin and Chris's have the look in the aluminum. Both have great tolerances internally. Wished I would've picked up a few more delrins of Walts before the end. Don't have a romulus case and don't have the $ for one. With romulus there is not an option to go midmotor so that kinda bummed me on those. I'm sure they are great also though. Any way you look at it they all do justice to the shelf
