Fastener Supply
Re: Fastener Supply
Well I guess I better start stripping the paint off this coming weekend to get them ready.
Re: Fastener Supply
Oh one last question.
If you drill into an annodized part will it damage the anno like on a powdercoated part?

Nope, it won't hurt anything just be careful that the material that's removed doesn't spiral around and scratch the anno. It's common to go over edges or to countersink after anno to add some cool factor

Re: Fastener Supply
Of course, it's only a fine coating bonded to the surface of the aluminum. Even sandpaper will damage anodizing, though it'll take significantly more effort than if you use a chemical like Easy-Off. Anodizing is hard to remove physically.vwjuice wrote:Oh one last question.

EDIT: After reading gomachv's reply, I'm not sure the question was clear. Drilling into ano will definitely damage the ano.

No problem, you are more than welcome to come over and drop off parts, I usually take parts in on Mondays as I am off.
