Hi Don
Sorry , lexan ( nissan r91cp , 92 Daytona winner) part number 84269. Is there a difference between lexan and polycarbonate.

Re: what paint to use
You don't need to use Tamiya paint on a Tamiya body; Lexan is Lexan. Pactra & Tamiya paints are lacquer-based, put out nasty fumes and are difficult to clean up after--but for a rattle-can job, they're the best. Tamiya RC paints, it should be mentioned, are about twice the price. I don't personally find the quality twice as good, though.
Parma's FasKolor paints, Createx and AutoAir paints are all water-based and are meant to be sprayed with an airbrush. There are hardly any fumes and the cleanup is easy. The downside is you need airbrush, compressor, and a lot of practice to know how much to thin the paints (the viscosity of milk is a good general guideline; each paint will have a different viscosity so one rule doesn't apply for all) and airbrushes.
