has this been done b4

Post by popboy905 »

Here is a little project i started working on merging modern and vintage. I always have been a fan of the rc10 tub chassie, i had a spare from a beater car i got off ebay, and decided to merge it with a b4 RTR i also had as a beater. It is a bit of hack job, i should took more time but maybe if i run across another tube i'll take some more time, it will be a fun runner at least

How does it drive? I imagine that the chassis has a lot of flex.....

i still have to put in electronics and take it for a drive. Surprisingly there isn't a lot of flex, there is less flex then a rc10 with a graphite chassie, but the car isn't as stiff as a molded chassie. i'll let you know how it drives

So how does it drive? It's been 5 years and I hope a lot of packs through it by now. :D

it drove fine, a little lazy compared to a normal b4. I ended up putting the b4 back together and using it and my team car as my main runners

Holy shitballs! I'm not sure what's more surprising: that this was done 5 years ago, or that the original poster was around to answer the bump... Very ahead of it's time though. Congrats! 8)

Ha, ya still here, i should post more when i finish projects or try something, but you know it is when you get caught up and forget to document your steps. I am going redo the car next time and take my time and do it correctly
