Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?
So looking at the pictures would I be correct in assuming that you will only get gold shocks on the kit? Looks like the replacement shocks will not be gold. ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
We can assume all we want, but it's better to wait until the parts are in to make sure!![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?
EEEEEKKKK I'm a little suprised at the cost of the chassis. $89 seems a bit steep. Wonder what costs went up that caused the original $30 chassis to go to $90? Just sayin...
I haven't looked back thru this string but has anyone put a pencil to how much it would cost to build a re-re using just "new purchased" parts?

Remember it's either a runner or a shelfer. Everything else is just parts.

I'll put my money on a minimum of 2x more.lexus-5 wrote:EEEEEKKKK I'm a little suprised at the cost of the chassis. $89 seems a bit steep. Wonder what costs went up that caused the original $30 chassis to go to $90? Just sayin...

Two things. Inflation and "made in the USA". I just paid $80 a couple month ago for a new old stock black B stamp. I'm just glad to see they kept some of it built in the USA.lexus-5 wrote:EEEEEKKKK I'm a little suprised at the cost of the chassis. $89 seems a bit steep. Also keep in mind that is retail, probably at least see 20% off that price in shops and even less online
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

I understand the shocks will be a little different than in the photo. We haven't gotten the stock parts in yet to photograph them on the vehicle. Will shoot them when I can! I'm afraid I can't quite describe the difference; the engineer's description wasn't clear to me.

I have to say I'm loving the whole re re idea on the rc10 . I keep up on this post on a regular basis . The one thing that blows me away is the fact that its clear that more than a few of our members here knew of the pending release , and not one leak . Very cool in my books guys .
As a vintage Rc enthusiast , I'm looking forward to even more products being available . Most of all , the hop up firms that will jump on board as well . For the haters , or critics , meh , go buy a slash
Just my two cents .....

Nope, check page 13 of the manual for the shock assembly.ra272 wrote:Those on the picture are the old bottom loaded shocks ?

The shock on the picture are not the same as in the manual. On the picture, the bottom is conical as the old bottom loaded style. The top loaded have a cylindrical bottom (like in the manual).soniccj5 wrote:Nope, check page 13 of the manual for the shock assembly.ra272 wrote:Those on the picture are the old bottom loaded shocks ?

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?
its a joke the chassis price.. the way people keep trying to justify the price i kinda feel like im in the movie ,They Live.. conform consume obey .. or maybe some people here work for ae.. so the complete chassis is over $120 $90 chassis + $30 nose plate + nose tubes $?.. face it people ae saw what rc10 parts were going for so they adjusted the price to make more cash.. this whole inflation bs has got to stop its all a game they play to get your cash.i feel like every time you try to explain inflation the person that sold you that bs gets a pay raise.. as i said before to get a old rc10 to run like the b4 rtr runs you would spend about $400 back in the day. the new rtr b4 is cheaper only $250 . with this inflation bs logic that b4 rtr should be over $1000.. is ae trying to cash in on all of us ..yes. is it very cool that they did the rere and parts..yes .. is it ok to justify this world making prices higher to cash in on people. no..unless you want to just conform consume obey ...lexus-5 wrote:EEEEEKKKK I'm a little suprised at the cost of the chassis. $89 seems a bit steep. If Ford remade the 64' Mustang, would you expect 64' price?
