Ti arms for RC10

While I am still waiting for a chassis to be made I was wondering whether to get some more hop ups.
Namely titanium steering arms and front upper arms for my RC10 (mostly Worlds 1994) car.

I've noticed some Lunsford branded items. Does anyone know which specific models will fit my car?

do you mean tierods/turnbuckles?

worlds car used the follow sizes:
1.375" rears
1" tie link for steering
1.65" front upper
2.06" steering links

according to associated parts list catalog.

convert to metric if necessary, you can buy associated titanium links or lunsford also. maybe some other vendors but I don't know of any.

Some of the items I see listed give the diameter in millimeters (4mm seems common). Does anyone
know the diameter, or thread description, required to run original AE plastic ball ends? Thanks again

you can use #4-40 or 3mm threads in an associated ball cup. that is what most ball cups fit for 1/10 scale across all brands. lunsford makes heavy duty ones that are 4mm and 1/8 scale and up go much larger.

Lundsfords threads on the punishers seems to be bigger than the 4-40, they even include wax to help the install. I always assumed they were 5-40. I know the older originals were a true 4-40. They "fit" stock cups but its tight. They fit rpm cups better.

I found and ordered a 25mm Lunsford center steering turnbuckle, with all the others from Kyosho.

your doing much better than me on this issue albiet I was trying to do all metal rods and ends.

attempt 1, ordered from integy, get sent ends with 4mm hole vs 3mm which i thought I ordered, They no longer have 3mm ends in stock. Ironically, they only stock 3mm rods now.

attempt 2, orded ends from rc4wd, normal threads work, reverse threads wont. contacted them for replacement

attempt 3, replacement sent, currently lost in mail.

If #3 fails to show.

attempt 4. use the 4mm ends I have and order 4mm rods from lunsford

Always fun to buy w/o knowing what will work.

I did notice some Lunsford turnbuckles were labelled as "Super Duty". These seem to be extra wide at 3.5mm, so I avoided those.

lunsford has the standard ones and the 'punisher' or 'super duty' that are larger thread. You only need the standard ones. Or you can use the associated blue ones and you can remove the anodizing(or if you have the equipment, reanodize to a different color).

Do you remove the annodizing on Titanium like you do on aluminum or is there a different process? I just bought blue links for my gold pan runner and wanted to strip the anno.

Wet and dry paper will do it for free.

polish them with a dremel, it will remove the anno and make'm shine.

anno doesn't stick to ti very well in the first place, it comes off really easy.
