Vintage Kyosho .049 VW Beetle (Kit #2387)
Not seen very often. It's new in the box, but I haven't decided if I'll actually run it. I snapped some pics for those who may have never seen one.
Also, I put the manuals/pamphlets/decals here.

It comes mostly assembled, and has a separate box tube full of the remaining parts:

I can't say it's very sought after, but it is rare and unique these days. I just thought it was cool.

oh come on now... of course I have one! There's very few VW R/C cars I don't have. I've got a NIB nitro, a NIB electric, a new built electric, a runner electric, an electric parts car... man I've got a problem.gomachv wrote:I bet j-sou doesn't have one....and I bet he starts looking for one!
I'd love to have a nitro version to run, but they aren't as common as the electric.
here's the 2 NIB and the new built elec (and some Peanut stuff)
Now help me find a PB/MRC Bullit...

cool 1/12TH VW, wow 1/12th nitro powered huh? Thats neat. And thats a cox engine. I love kyosho, the realism on the body detail, the tires is mind blowing. Thats why these vintages are a collectors item. Love them. Run it if you like, but I would keep it as a shelf queen and only start it from time to time

I have the Mini Cooper gp version of this...it was used when I got it.....I did get it going briefly when I first got it.
Its good to see them mint in box still.
My one has a clip on one side of the chassie to hold the top case down one was missing before i got it and there has been some butchering so a different on off switch could be used.

I was thinking about those clips. There's a fairly stiff rubber band hooked to them, and I was wondering if they (the clips) would lose strength over time and break. The top case/cover is not a structural component from what I can tell, so maybe I'll put on a smaller band for peace of mind.Meanee wrote:My one has a clip on one side of the chassie to hold the top case down one was missing before i got it and there has been some butchering so a different on off switch could be used.
