Australia's getting them, so I'd imagine the UK will get them too 8)

So all this buildup and excitement over the weekend, wow, what now?

Was it good for everyone else? If I smoked, I'd have a cigarette I guess.

I'm on my 10th pack! LOL

Landed in Michigan 5:00am and at work at 6:00am. Think the adrenaline is fading or I need more cigarettes!

And I don't smoke!

I have just spoken to Modelsport on the phone and they have been told from the AE distributors that the production run is 2000 worldwide and no more.

Another UK supplier told me that they have had huge interest but were only receiving 4 of them in total.

This could all be cloak and dagger scaremongering by AE, or maybe they themselves do not really know how many they will produce, simply because they are testing the water and covering themselves from any backlash but I would seriously recommend that anyone currently sitting on the fence covers themselves by pre-ordering with someone.

I am not going to pull the trigger. The price in the UK will be double that of yours, either from a UK model shop, or once import taxes are added on top. Even if I did not like it I could not even flip it on for a profit (after the extra costs of UK profit or tax). I am not convinced I would even break even. So I am out.

Besided this talk of "Limited" does not convince me. I suspect what they are doing is taking pre-orders to then guesstimate how many to actually make in batch 1. After that is satisfied you can bet they will be making batch 2, 3 etc. They are a business. Hype like this simply helps to sell them. It works as you are buying multiples at a time due to panic.

I am happy for you guys who are excited though! :D

just spoke with my dist for these kits, they are adding them to their catalogue as we speek. I will have numbers shortly, they said I should be able to place my back order in the next 2 hours. I am waiting to see if they have a limit on how many I can order. I will post info ASAP in when I know in a few hours.

This is the email I just got from TowerHobbies. They're apparently getting the word out, I wonder what other suppliers will do the same.

I think you might be right, even though I was told the run was already pre-sold :?:
